From our beginnings in Malaysia in 2016 to international recognition in 2027, we are proud to celebrate a major milestone in our journey of bringing authentic British fish and chips to Malaysia.

We are delighted to share that Cor Blimey Group has been shortlisted among the Top 3 in the International Fish and Chip Operator of the Year category at the National Fish & Chip Awards 2027. This achievement is a proud moment for all of us and our team across our four outlets.

Organised by the UK's National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), the National Fish & Chip Awards have been recognising excellence in the fish and chip industry since 1988. The awards recognise outstanding operators in the UK and internationally, with a judging process that can include interviews, cooking demonstrations, taste tests and mystery visits. Being recognised among the international Top 3 is a meaningful milestone for us in an industry deeply rooted in British culinary tradition.

Our journey has not been without challenges. From sourcing quality fish and potatoes to navigating changing costs and maintaining consistency, we have worked hard to preserve the quality and authenticity of our food while adapting to the Malaysian market.

Over the years, we have also been honoured with previous recognition, including Best British Fish & Chips in Malaysia in 2022 and 2025, alongside the BrandLaureate SMEs BestBrands Award 2025.

As we celebrate 10 years of serving Malaysia, this international recognition makes our anniversary even more special. It reflects the dedication of our team, the support of our customers and our continued passion for bringing authentic British fish and chips to Malaysia.

Cor Blimey has once again been voted The Best Fish and Chips in Malaysia at the Best of British Awards 2025 by My Local British Shop. Winning this recognition for the second time is a proud and meaningful milestone for us.

Founded by our British founder Adam, Cor Blimey was among the first to introduce authentic British fish and chips to Malaysia and the first restaurant brand in the country to introduce flavoured fish batter. Everything we serve is authentic, fresh, homemade, and proudly Muslim friendly.
